Certain automobile manufacturers of higher caliber, often choose
a rare wood type called "Burl", being a very special timber found
in the lowest portion of the tree. These automobile makers use this
material to help emphasize the tasteful features and details within
the interior of their vehicles. As the Hagstrom Select models have
always represented a hand selected and detailed instrument, we
gladly bring to you the Select Swede "Burl" electric guitar. Each
instrument features a hand chosen and highly figured top on
each piece.

Clean cut and elegant, with a classic look.
This axe is equipped with two new specially designed Hagstrom H-90-S pickups which
definitely standout from the rest (“S“ stands for Spiced!). Generally, most P-90
pickups have a tendency to sound rather “Muddy“. It is often said that P-90 pickups do
not sound like Humbuckers nor Single coil pickups. We finely tuned our “Spiced“
H-90-S pickups to emphasize this misconception! Being a true single coil pickup, these
H-90-S pickups are the perfect crossover/hybrid pickup, and can provide
both sound characteristics depending on how you drive your amplifier and utilize
the volume controls on your guitar.
These pickups in connection with this guitar produces an extremely open and wide
tone. Fantastic sustain and an amazing attack, thanks to the select woods, and with
the support of resinatorwood fingerboard and H-Expander truss rod.

definitely standout from the competition (“S“ stands for Spiced!).
Combining together the unique tone from a single cut,
our “Spiced“ P-90 pickups, the edge and attack from
the 25.5“ scale length, and the flexibility and ease of one of the most talked about
tremolo units on the market, will take players into tonal frontiers that have not been
previously explored.
With the use of a rotary 6-way switch and with dedicated volume controls for each
pickup, helps to add incredible versatility to reach a variety of tones and expression
that players have only dreamed of.
